Baoma Corp.'s streaking Eda looms a short-priced standout in the $75,000 Angel's Flight Stakes May 8 at Santa Anita Park in search of her fifth consecutive stakes win. The Angel's Flight drew a field a field of six sophomore fillies to race seven furlongs.
Previously trained by suspended Hall of Famer Bob Baffert, Eda comes off a solid half-length score going 1 1/16 miles in the Santa Ysabel Stakes (G3) March 6, which followed the biggest win of her career in the Starlet Stakes (G1) going the same distance at Los Alamitos Race Course Dec. 4.

Now overseen by trainer Sean McCarthy, the Kentucky-bred daughter of Munnings out of the Lemon Drop Kid made Show Me will be ridden for the third straight time by Juan Hernandez. Though cutting back in distance, she can be expected to show her customary early speed, which was very much in evidence in winning the Desi Arnaz Stakes three starts back at Del Mar Nov. 13 and in taking the six-furlong Anoakia at Santa Anita Oct. 24.
A $550,000 purchase from the consignment of Eddie Woods to the Ocala Breeders' Sales March Sale of Two-Year-Olds-in-Training Sale purchase last year, Eda has now banked $430,000 from an overall mark of 5-1-0 in seven starts.
A first-out maiden winner last summer going five furlongs at Los Alamitos June 26, Little Red Feather Racing's Elm Drive followed that up with a head victory going six furlongs in the Sorrento Stakes (G2) at Del Mar, but then went off-form in her next two starts as she was distanced in the Del Mar Debutante (G1) at seven furlongs Sept. 5 and the Chandelier Stakes (G2) at 1 1/16 miles at Santa Anita Oct. 1.
Idle since the Chandelier, Elm Drive has a steady work pattern on both Santa Anita's inner training track and one-mile main track for her return, her most recent drill coming May 1, when she covered five furlongs on the main track in 1:00 4/5.
Trained by current meet leader Phil D'Amato, Elm Drive has two wins from four starts and earnings of $148,000. She'll be ridden for the first time by Ricky Gonzalez.
Trainer Ryan Hanson will be looking for an upset with Unsolved Mystery , a filly by Goldencents who returns to Santa Anita following a gutty half-length win accomplished in gate-to-wire fashion in the one-mile Arizona Oaks at Turf Paradise March 11.
Owned by California Racing Partners, Ciaglia Racing, and Seacoast Racing, Unsolved Mystery was a 8 1/4-length maiden $80,000 winner going six furlongs two starts ago at Santa Anita Feb. 6.
Completing the field are Classical Romance , Empire Gal , and Kirstenbosch . Classical Romance won a first-level allowance optional claimer in her last start, while Empire Gal and Kirstenbosch scored maiden victories.
