Rain, Wind Cause Monmouth Park Cancellation

Due to heavy rain and high winds that hit the Jersey Shore May 7, Monmouth Park canceled its opening day program that was scheduled to get underway at 2 p.m. ET.
The track will remain open for full-card simulcasting, including the 148th running of the Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve (G1) from Churchill Downs.
Live racing resumes at Monmouth Park on Sunday, May 8, with first post of 12:15 p.m. for the nine-race Mother's Day card, headlined by the $100,000 Serena's Song Stakes.
The highlight of the 2022 racing season, the TVG.com Haskell Invitational (G1), will be contested for the 55th time on Saturday, July 23. The meet runs through Sunday, Sept. 18.
