Description:

Thoroughbred owners Harris Auerbach, Ramiro Restrepo and Anna Seitz take readers inside the owner's box in 2015. Auerbach, Restrepo and Seitz will give readers insight into race day habits, their favorite race track and their biggest accomplishment, plus things like what kind of music, fashion and vacations they prefer.
In this edition find out their childhood dreams, the farthest they've traveled to the races and which of them prefers a dirty martini as their cocktail of choice.

What’s the farthest you’ve ever traveled to attend a race?
AUERBACH: Sunshine Millions at Gulfstream Park in 2008 and 2009. Also been to races at Laurel Park. Have been to Belmont, Aqueduct, Hialeah, Calder and Pimlico, but did not see races there. All of the above are clear across the country from me.
RESTREPO: In April 2014, I traveled to Sydney, Australia to attend The Championships/BMW Racing Carnival at Royal Randwick. Ten group stakes, including four Group 1s, a little over $9-million in purses and Coolmore was kind enough to get me seats for the day. The highlight was seeing Lankan Rupee, one of the best sprinters in the world, win.
SEITZ: For my own horses, I’ve gone to Chicago and Florida for stakes races. For work, I have gone to England, Australia and France for the races. I love checking out new tracks.
If you could guest star on any TV show it would be …
AUERBACH: … “The Love Boat.” But then again, this is not 1979 and my guest appearance is highly unlikely.

RESTREPO: Put me in an episode of “Game of Thrones.”
Three magazines I subscribe to are …
AUERBACH: … 1. California Thoroughbred; 2. GQ; 3. Los Angeles Magazine
RESTREPO: … Esquire, Men’s Health and Conde Nast.
SEITZ: … The Blood-Horse, the rest are online
My favorite cocktail is …
AUERBACH: … a tie between an Absolut Bay Breeze and Maker’s Mark and water.
RESTREPO: I rarely drink, but if I do it’s a vodka soda or Crown Royal and ginger ale.
SEITZ: … a dirty martini.

My favorite scent or aroma on the planet is …
AUERBACH: These are two different things. For a scent, I love my Cool Water, by Davidoff. For an aroma, I love the smell of hot coffee, cooked scrambled eggs and sizzling bacon on an easy Sunday morning.
RESTREPO: … the racetrack in the morning!
SEITZ: … my husband’s breath in the morning. Oh wait, just kidding ... fresh mint.
My favorite charity is …
AUERBACH: … CARMA (California Retirement Management Account), because I know that the money they raise is actually going to fund retired racehorses and not to support some large payroll or bureaucracy. I also love the mission and the work of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. There is nothing more important than granting a sick child a wish to help make them happy, even if it is just for a couple of minutes.
RESTREPO: … ALS
SEITZ: … the Anna House at Belmont.
My favorite clothing designers are …
AUERBACH: … Ralph Lauren. I love Polo. Also a big fan of Tommy Bahama but am not sure if he’s an actual person or if it’s just a brand name. LOL!
SEITZ: Not really into that stuff. I guess clothes that are made for tall women!
Favorite actor among: Will Ferrell, Leo DiCaprio, Jack Black, Matthew McConaughey, Al Pacino or Jack Nicholson?
AUERBACH: Al Pacino. Between “The Godfather,” “The Godfather II” and “The Devil’s Advocate,” he’s been in three of my all-time Top 10 favorite movies.
RESTREPO: Al Pacino, “The Godfather” and “Scarface.”
SEITZ: Will Ferrell in “Elf.”
Do you prefer the beach or mountains?
AUERBACH: Give me the mountains, since I live right by them.
RESTREPO: Mountains
SEITZ: Both
Favorite actress among: Sandra Bullock, Halle Berry, Angelina Jolie, Scarlett Johansson, Meryl Streep, Natalie Portman or Jennifer Lawrence?
AUERBACH: I love many of Jennifer Lawrence’s recent movies such as “X-Men: First Class” and “Silver Linings Playbook,” so I’ll go with her.
RESTREPO: Jennifer Lawrence
SEITZ: Meryl Streep
When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
AUERBACH: I wanted to be a businessman, like my father. Making deals, traveling and in control of my time and my own destiny.
RESTREPO: A jockey, like Angel Cordero Jr.

SEITZ: My siblings told me I was going to turn into a boy when I grew up and I believed them. That scared me. So I wanted to stay a girl. I probably should get therapy! Ha!
