Temple City Terror wins the 2021 Keertana Overnight Stakes at Churchill Downs

Pocket Aces Racing's Temple City Terror  is back to defend her crown May 28 in the featured eighth running of the $160,000 Keertana Overnight Stakes on the Matt Winn Turf Course at Churchill Downs.

Trained by Brendan Walsh, Temple City Terror was the mild 5-1 upset winner of last year's Keertana over Albert Stall Jr. trainee Dalika .

Following her Keertana victory, Temple City Terror finished third in both the $150,000 Robert G. Dick Memorial Stakes (G3T) at Delaware Park and the $250,000 Glen Falls Stakes (G2T) at Saratoga Race Course. After the Glen Falls, Temple City Terror was laid off until finishing fifth, beaten 1 1/2 lengths, in a conditioned allowance race April 14 at Keeneland.

The 6-year-old Temple City   mare will be ridden by Adam Beschizza from post 7.

Chief among Temple City Terror's competition is Catherine Wills' multiple graded stakes-placed, stakes-winning Luck Money .

Trained by Arnaud Delacour, the 5-year-old Lookin At Lucky   mare made her seasonal debut three weeks ago at Belmont Park where she finished second to Virginia Joy  in the $200,000 Sheepshead Bay Stakes (G2T). As a 4-year-old, Luck Money finished second in the $150,000 Rood and Riddle Dowager Stakes (G3T) at Keeneland and the Robert G. Dick Memorial.

Luck Money's last win came in the Zagora Stakes in October 2020 at Belmont.
