Aqueduct's NY Stallion Stakes to Run April 26

A pair of $100,000 New York Stallion Stakes will be offered at Aqueduct Racetrack April 26.
In the first division, for 3-year-old colts and geldings, Turtle Bird Stable's homebred Organic Gemini may find a lucrative spot to break his maiden
The 3-year-old colt by Sir Whimsey out of the Speightstown mare Speightful Affair is winless from six starts, but has been second-best in his last three decisions, missing by only a neck over Aqueduct's inner dirt track on March 28.
Since that race, the Steve Asmussen-trained runner has breezed three times for this spot, including an easy four-furlong workout in :49.10 over Belmont Park's training track April 21.
Manuel Franco, who was aboard the New York-bred in the March 28 race, has the return call in the 6 1/2-furlong contest.
Charlton Baker and Daniel Hayden's Possessed just held off the late moving Organic Gemini Feb. 14 to break his maiden and is entered to meet that rival once again.
Since that maiden score, Possessed finished third in the $100,000 Jimmy Winkfield Stakes at Aqueduct March 8, before a second in an allowance race over Aqueduct's main track on April 10.
Possessed will be ridden by Jose Ortiz and will break from the post 3 in this five horse affair, just outside of Organic Gemini, who drew post 2.
Down on the rail is Sea Gull Associates' Clockwork, who hasn't started since Dec. 28 for trainer Timothy Hills.
The 3-year-old was gelded March 18 and attracts top jockey Javier Castellano for his return to the races.
In the filly division, The Lewis Dinner should be the one to beat if she is ready for her first start since Dec. 28, when she easily beat several of these in a similar Stallion Series Stakes at Aqueduct.
As a 2-year-old, The Lewis Dinner won three of six starts for owners Michael Dubb, Bethlehem Stables LLC, and Gary Aisquith, earning $229,500 while hitting the board in all six tries.
The daughter of Posse out of the Jump Start mare Nick's Honor has been working regularly for her return to the races for trainer Rudy Rodriguez, including an easy four-furlong breeze in :49.94 at Aqueduct April 22.
The Lewis Dinner will break from post 10 in the 11-horse field and will be ridden by Irad Ortiz Jr.
Both The Lewis Dinner and Freudie Anne will each carry 122 pounds as the starting high weights in the 6 1/2-furlong contest.
Freudie Anne won three of four starts as a 2-year-old in 2014, taking the $100,000 East View Stakes at Aqueduct Dec. 14.
After giving the daughter of Freud two months off, she made her 3-year-old debut for trainer Eddie Kenneally in the Rachel Alexandra Stakes (gr. III) at Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots Feb. 21. It was a start to forget, as the New York-bred was eased in the race by jockey Mike Smith and was walked off the track.
Since that race, Freudie Anne has been working steadily, showing four breezes. Jockey Jose Ortiz, who was aboard for her score in the East View, takes the call.
