Constitution Colt Fastest at Fourth Under Tack Session

During the fourth session of the under tack show for the Ocala Breeders' Sales' June Sale of 2-Year-Olds in Training and Horses of Racing Age, a son of Constitution   consigned as Hip 634 by Blue River Bloodstock, worked three-eighths in :33 1/5 to post the fastest work at the distance. The bay colt is out of Arana, a winning mare by Hard Spun  , from the family of 2001 Dubai Poule d'Essai des Poulains (French Two Thousand Guineas, G1) runner-up Clearing.

Bred in Kentucky by Kenneth and the late Sarah Ramsey, the colt was an RNA for Blue River Bloodstock at the 2022 OBS Spring Sale at $45,000. He breezed a quarter-mile in :22 flat during the April Sale.

Three horses shared honors for the session's fastest quarter-mile, stopping the timer in :21 flat on Day 4.

• Hip 573, a dark bay or brown colt by Bal a Bali   consigned by Cruzin' Thoroughbreds, is out of Winged Fury, by War Chant , a daughter of 1998 champion grass mare Fiji . Bred in Kentucky by Calumet Farm, who stands Bal a Bali, the colt sold to Fafael Gonzalez at the OBS October Sale for $8,000 from Kaizen Sales.
• Hip 685, also consigned by Cruzin' Thoroughbreds, is a bay colt by Blame   out of graded stakes- placed Bling On the Music , by Too Much Bling  . The International Equities Holding Kentucky-bred colt was an RNA from last season's Keeneland September Sale at $9,000, offered by Taylor Made Sales Agency.
• Hip 741, named Major Deal, consigned by Galvan Brothers Equine, is a bay gelding by Klimt   out of the Artie Schiller runner, Christiansted, from the family of grade 3 winner Mad Flatter. Bred in Florida by Bonnie Heath Farm, the gelding initially sold last year at the OBS October Sale for $7,500 to Gerardo Bello from the Boutte Sales draft.

Twelve horses tied for the session's fastest eighth-mile, clocked in :10 flat.

Hip 599, the Tunwoo   colt named Magnified, consigned by Nice and Easy Thoroughbreds; the Majestic City   filly consigned as Hip 606 by Golden Noguez; Hip 618, a Connect   colt offered by Champions of the Future; the Goldencents Thoroughbreds consigned Hip 624 filly by Tapwrit  ; Hip 652, a filly by Always Dreaming   consigned by A Rebel Colt Consignment; the colt by Ride On Curlin  named Luke the Legend, consigned as Hip 655 by Crystal Eclipse Stable; Hip 670, the Top Line Sales filly by Munnings  ; the More Than Ready   colt consigned by Kings Equine, agent for Spendthrift Farm, as Hip 695; an Irish-bred colt by Caravaggio   consigned as Hip 700 by Top Line Sales; Hip 706, offered by Marcial Galan, a colt by First Samurai  ; the Quality Road   colt consigned as Hip 713 by Centofanti Thoroughbreds; and Hip 715, a colt by West Coast   consigned by GOP Racing Stable.



The under tack show continues Friday morning at 7:30 a.m. ET with Hips 749 - 935 scheduled to breeze. The show will be streamed live via the OBS website at obssales.com, and via BloodHorse. The breeze show will conclude June 4.

The first of three days of selling begins June 7 at 10:00 a.m. with Hips 1 - 374 scheduled to go through the ring, followed by Hips 375 - 748 June 8, and Hips 749 - 1167 June 9.
