Trio of Juveniles Breeze Fast Quarters at OBS June Sale

The Practical Joke filly consigned as Hip 1109 breezes a quarter-mile in :20 4/5 during the under tack show at the OBS June Sale

On the sixth and final session of the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's 2022 June Sale of 2-Year-Olds in Training and Horses of Racing Age on June 4, fillies by Good Magic   and Practical Joke  , and a colt by Adios Charlie   breezed quarters in :20 4/5 to post the fast works at the distance. 

The first breezer, a Kentucky-bred filly from the first crop of Good Magic consigned as Hip 984, is a half sister to grade 1 stakes placed Thirteen Squared  and is out of the graded stakes winning Free House mare House of Fortune. She is being offered by New Horizon Farm.

The second filly, a daughter of Practical Joke consigned as Hip 1109 by Top Line Sales, is a half sister to multiple stakes winner Forewarned , who captured the Excelsior Stakes at Aqueduct Racetrack in April. She is produced from the stakes winning, graded stakes placed Five Star Day mare Fortune Play.

Hip 1043, the only colt to drill a :20 4/5 quarter-mile, is a bay son of Adios Charlie consigned by Ocala Stud. The colt, out of the First Samurai mare Kaiken, hails from the family of grade 1-winning sprinter Justin Phillip .

  •   Hip 972, a chestnut colt by Accelerate   consigned by Pike Racing, Agent, out of History Supreme, by Speightstown  , a daughter of graded stakes placed Bahama Bound.
  • Hip 1028, consigned by Top Line Sales, Agent, a bay filly by Bolt d'Oro   out of graded stakes winner Jenny's So Great, by Greatness, from the family of grade 1 stakes winner Supah Gem.
  • Hip 1046, consigned by Centofanti Thoroughbreds, Agent, a chestnut filly by OBS graduate Collected   out of Kathy's Chance, by Union Rags  , a half sister to graded stakes winner Free Judgement.
  •   Hip 1062, a bay filly by Brody's Cause   consigned by Navas Equine, out of Live and Love, by Distorted Humor, a daughter of graded stakes placed Love At Noon.
  • Hip 1079, a chestnut colt by Justify   consigned by Wavertree Stables (Ciaran Dunne), Agent, a half brother to graded stakes placed Earring out of graded stakes winner Together, by Galileo.

Hip 1163, a 3-year-old daughter of Uncaptured  consigned by Shanbally Acres, sped three-eighths in :33 flat to post the session's fastest work at the distance. The chestnut filly is a half sister to stakes placed Elegant Zip out of Elegant Finish, by Speightstown  , a daughter of graded stakes placed stakes winner Press Camp.

The fastest three-eighths by a 2-year-old was in :33 3/5 by Hip No. 1064, a son of Lord Nelson  consigned by 30-30 Ranch. The bay colt is out of Mambo Tale, by Tale of the Cat, a half sister to graded stakes winner Noble Moon.

The three-day June Sale begins June 7 with Hips 1-374. Hips 375-748 will be offered June 8 and Hips 749-1167 will sell June 9. All sessions will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will be streamed live via the OBS website at obssales.com, and also via BloodHorse.com.
