Robert LaPenta and Harry Rosenblum's Far Right turned in his final work for the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) April 24 at Churchill Downs, going four furlongs in :49 flat under Greta Kuntzweiler.

The Notional   ridgling, trained by Ron Moquett, was focused throughout the move and charged down the stretch in solid fashion, caught by Churchill clockers in splits of :12 2/5 and :24 1/5 with a gallop out of 1:03.

With rain in the forecast for Saturday, April 25, Moquett opted to send out Far Right Friday under sunny skies at Churchill.

"He's a very efficient horse that basically, for whatever reason, can go forever," Moquett said. "Everything (in the workout) went according to plan. It was a beautiful day and he got to do what he needed to do.

"So far he's cleared every hurdle and this is one less thing we have to be worried about."

Far Right won the Smarty Jones Stakes and the Southwest Stakes (gr. III) at Oaklawn Park, and then finished a good closing second to American Pharoah last time out in the April 11 Arkansas Derby (gr. I).
