Pair of U.S. Runners Near Top of Thoroughbred Rankings

American-bred Thoroughbreds Life Is Good  and Speaker's Corner  are among the leaders in the latest Longines World's Best Racehorse Rankings for 2022.

Life Is Good is ranked second with 124 rating, tied with Nature Strip . Speaker's Corner stands one point behind in fourth.

Baaeed  with a 125 rating, tops the rankings, which has a host of new horses in this latest edition. In his 2022 debut, Baaeed powered to victory by 3 1/4 lengths in the Al Shaqab Lockinge Stakes (G1). The 4-year-old colt is now undefeated in seven career starts, and he is expected to race June 14 in the Queen Anne Stakes (G1) during Royal Ascot.

Three new horses have joined Golden Sixty in the co-fifth position on a rating of 122. Bay Bridge  began his season with a five-length score in the Coral Brigadier Gerard Stakes (G3); Desert Crown  won the Cazoo Derby In Memory of Lester Piggott (G1) by 2 1/2 lengths to remain unbeaten; and Vadeni  romped by five lengths in the Qatar Prix du Jockey Club (G1) to be ranked.

Additionally, with a rating of 121, Hukum  has joined the top 10 following his win by 4 1/4 lengths in the Dahlbury Coronation Cup (G1) at Epsom.
