Ironhorse Racing Stable's freshman sire Bucchero sired his first winner June 10 when his son Toddchero won his career debut at Lone Star Park | BloodHorse.com Track Profile">Lone Star Park by 3 1/2 lengths. Toddchero stopped the clock on the fast dirt track in :58.62.
Owned by Mark Norman and Norman Stables, Toddchero led the whole way with fractions of :22.56 and :45.65. He is trained by Jayde Gelner. Norman acquired the colt for $77,000 at this year's Ocala Breeders Sales' Spring 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale out of Fast Horses' consignment.
GDS Racing Stable bred the first-out winner in Florida out of stakes-placed French Politics , by Political Force . He is the mare's second winner. Her first foal is multiple winner Moon Eyes , by Bucchero's sire Kantharos . Moon Eyes most recently won a claiming race at Thistledown Sept. 14.

French Politics won six of 35 starts and was third in the 2011 Lindsay Frolic Stakes at Calder Race Course.
Bucchero raced from 2-6 and won or placed in 13 black-type stakes. He captured consecutive runnings of the Woodford Stakes Presented by Keeneland Select (G2T) at 5 and 6. He retired with an 11-6-3 record from 31 starts and earned $947,936.
As a stallion, Bucchero has 68 foals of racing age, of which four have started. He is standing at Pleasant Acres Stallions for $5,000.
