Charity Handicapping Seminar Set for April 27

The Thoroughbred Club of America near Lexington will host a charity handicapping seminar April 27.

Eclipse Award-winning broadcaster Kenny Rice and Hall of Fame trainer Todd Pletcher will attend the event, which will give attendees insight into sorting out the contenders from the pretenders in both the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) May 2 and the Longines Kentucky Oaks (gr. I) May 1.

The event includes cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and dinner stations followed by a lively discussion about the 2015 class of fillies and colts.

Proceeds from event, sponsored by the Charitable Impact Group Inc (CIG) a (501) (c) (3), will be shared by the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund and Camp Horsin' Around.

The Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund is a 501 (c) (3) public charity that provides financial assistance to some 60 former jockeys who have suffered catastrophic on-track injuries. Camp Horsin' Around is a (501) (c) (3) charity with camp facility specifically designed and equipped to enrich the lives of children with serious chronic illnesses and physical difficulties.
