Tiz No Clown breaks his maiden at Laurel Park

First-crop stallion No Never No More   was represented by his first winner when Tiz No Clown  scored a gate-to-wire victory June 25 in the second race at Laurel Park.

It was the third start for Maryland-bred juvenile Tiz No Clown, who is campaigned by owner/trainer William Earl Atkins. Under jockey Yomar Ortiz, he broke sharply from the gates and seized the early lead, increasing his advantage with every pole to hit the wire 2 1/2 lengths in front. Racing against maiden special weight company, the colt ran the five furlongs on a fast main track in :59.29.

Tiz No Clown was purchased by Atkins for $2,200 at the 2020 Fasig-Tipton Midlantic December Mixed Sale out of the Marshall Silverman consignment. Bred by Stephen Smith and Denise Jones, the colt is out of the Congrats  mare Shiloh Road, the dam of four winners from four offspring to race.

An unraced 7-year-old son of the late Scat Daddy, No Never No More is a close relation to group 1 winner and sire No Nay Never. He is also from the family of group/graded stakes winners Half a Year, Winning Pact, and Cat's Career.

No Never No More stands at Pleasant Acres Stallions in Morriston, Fla, and stood the 2022 season for an advertised fee of $2,500 live foal.
