Jockey Dennis Carr, who suffered a head injury during a starting gate incident April 19 at Golden Gate Fields, was released from Highland Hospital in Oakland, Calif. April 25 and plans to return to his home in the Saratoga Springs area of New York next week.
He underwent surgery the same day he was injured to remove blood from around his brain and relieve cranial pressure.
