Three stakes worth a guaranteed $225,000 will be run during the upcoming Autumn Festival at Los Alamitos Race Course.
The seven-day meet is scheduled to begin Friday, Sept. 16, and continue through Sunday, Sept. 25. Racing will be conducted Friday-Sunday (Sept. 16-18) the first week and Thursday-Sunday (Sept. 22-25) the final week. Post time will be 1 p.m.
The first stakes race, on Sept. 17, will be the $75,000 E.B. Johnston Stakes for 3-year-olds and up, bred or sired in California. The remaining pair will be offered the final weekend of the meet. Older horses will compete Sept. 24 in the $75,000 Los Alamitos Special Stakes, and the closing-day program Sept. 25 will be headlined by the $75,000 Capote Stakes for 2-year-olds.
