Headlining the catalog is the 3-year-old daughter of Will Take Charge , Cleopatras Charge , winner of the 2022 Sunland Park Oaks. Bred in Kentucky by Henderson out of the Smart Strike mare Cleopatra's Finest, she has a record of 2-0-1 from eight starts and earnings of $203,376. Most recently she was third in the Toni Samora Memorial Stakes going 6 1/2 furlongs on the dirt at SunRay Park. She is based in New Mexico at Albuquerque and has put in recent works with trainer Gary Cross.
The catalog, which will be available soon, can be found at thoroughbredauctions.com, with many horses selling without reserve.
In 2016, Henderson's red and white checkered silks were seen on the Donnie Von Hemel trainee Suddenbreakingnews , winner of the 2016 Southwest Stakes (G3), second in the Arkansas Derby (G1), both at Oaklawn Park, and placed fifth in the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (G1). The Mineshaft gelding had career earnings of $767,089 in 21 starts over four years.
"I like a good, good-looking horse with talent and obvious class. Not much else matters," Henderson said.
