Trainer David Jacobson and jockey Angel Cruz landed the respective trainer and jockey titles at the 19-day Aqueduct Racetrack spring meet, which concluded April 26.

Jacobson, who collected his third consecutive training title on the New York Racing Association circuit, continued his dominance at Aqueduct, primarily in claiming races. Jacobson sent out 13 winners from 45 starters that earned $490,011 in purses at the winter/spring meet.

Kiaran McLaughlin and Chad Brown tied for second in the standings with eight victories each.

Angel Cruz, with 22 wins, earned his first-ever meet title on the NYRA circuit, holding off Irad Ortiz Jr., who finished second with 20 wins and Manuel Franco in third with 19. With the majority of his mounts on Jacobson horses, Cruz dominated the claiming races en route to his first meet title.

Jacobson also ended the meet as leading owner at the stand, followed by Michael Dubb and Godolphin Stable.
