Classic Mile Park Training Center near Ocala, Fla., has been placed on the real estate market for $37 million, according to a release from Premier Sotheby's International Realty.

According to the real estate agency, Classic Mile is the largest equestrian property listed in Florida, positioned on 703 acres with 20 barns and 700 stalls plus 122 paddocks and 17 round pens. Additionally, it has a three-eighths dirt track and a one-mile dirt track. Also on the property is an office with a two-bedroom apartment, a main estate home with a private six-stall barn, and five additional employee residences.

Originally owned by Fred Hooper, a well-known breeder in Thoroughbred racing, the property was purchased in 1985 by Domenic Martelli, a real estate developer from New Jersey. An experienced equestrian, he initially planned a racetrack for the land, but it was instead turned into one of the first public training facilities in the area and the site of his personal residence.

Many renowned Thoroughbreds have trained at the facility, and published workouts over the track have continued to take place this month. The facility is popular with horsemen for its training tracks and its paddock areas.

Situated near the World Equestrian Center, the Ocala International Airport, and area golf courses, the grounds provide numerous possibilities for development, Premier Sotheby's International Realty indicated.
