Due to temperatures in the upper 90's and a rising heat index, the sixth race on the July 24 card at Monmouth Park was cancelled and racing has been delayed for a little more than an hour until to 4 p.m.

The card is slated to resume with the seventh race, a $12,500 claimer at six furlongs.

The sixth race, which was cancelled due to the heat while horses were in the paddock, was a maiden special weight race on the turf.

There will be consolation payouts in the sequence wagers involving the sixth race as it was declared an All-race in those bets.

As for the Jersey Shore Six wager, which was slated to begin with the sixth race, it will proceed with the sixth as an All race, but, due to New Jersey regulations, the carryover of roughly $172,000 will not be added to the pool. There will be a mandatory payout based solely on the money wagered on Sunday's races.
