In an April 28 Hong Kong Jockey Club press release on organizational changes, it was announced that Nader would be leaving his position as executive director at the end of his current contract. He plans to stay through January 2016 to help with the transition.

He has served as chairman of the Asian Pattern Committee for the past eight years, overseeing great progress at both the regional and international level. On his watch, Hong Kong's horses and races have reached new and unprecedented heights in the world rankings. Furthermore, he has been fundamental to establishing the club's portfolio of commingling partnerships. All of this is a testament to the strength of his contribution to the club and to Hong Kong racing."

"On behalf of the club, I would like to express my deep appreciation for Bill's excellent contribution. As a fellow member of the board of management, I wish to thank him for being a wonderful team player and for his dedication and passion for Hong Kong racing and the club's contribution to the community. We shall miss him and wish him all the best in his future career."

Nader said his work in Hong Kong has been terrific.

"The past eight years have been an incredible experience, overseeing the rapid rise of Hong Kong racing in every aspect imaginable," Nader said. "The incredible growth we have achieved is a credit to our entire organization, led by Winfried and the Board of Stewards and driven by a talented group of dedicated individuals who are the cornerstone of our success. When I accepted this job in 2007, I knew it would be the opportunity of a lifetime and something very special. It has exceeded all expectations and I will be forever grateful. I look forward to working in my current capacity through the Longines Hong Kong International Races in December and the Asian Racing Conference in January 2016."
