Catalog for Tattersalls Online August Sale Out Now

The catalog for the Tattersalls Online August Sale has been published and can be viewed at www.tattersallsonline.com. The sale, which is scheduled to take place Aug. 9-10, has attracted 35 quality entries and includes a selection of breeding rights, fillies, mares, flat and National Hunt horses in training, and yearlings.

Bidding for the Tattersalls Online August Sale will be open for a 24-hour period from midday Aug. 9, with the final countdown closing from midday Aug. 10. The sale format also sees change to the extra time on closing lots being reduced from five minutes to two-minute intervals. 

A lifetime breeding right to high-class stallion Showcasing  brings added appeal to the online auction. The Whitsbury Manor Stud-based sire has already produced multiple group 1 winners and stood for a fee of £45,000 (US$54,948) in 2022. Showcasing is currently the sire of 60 individual group/listed winners, including multiple group 1 winners Advertise  and Quiet Reflection , as well as the 2022 Queen Mary Stakes (G2) winner Dramatised . 

Breeding rights are also on offer for Aclaim  and Ribchester . Aclaim is already the sire of QIPCO One Thousand Guineas (G1) winner Cachet  and the undefeated 3-year-old filly Royal Aclaim  who is currently favorite for the Coolmore Wootton Bassett Nunthorpe Stakes (G1). Ribchester has also had an exciting start to his stud career, boasting four individual listed winners, including group 1-placed Flaming Rib , Facteur Cheval , Ruthin , and Snooze N You Lose . 

The sale offers a selection of young mares to appeal to breeding enthusiasts, including:

• Lot 5 Smoke Without Fire, in foal to leading European 2-year-old sire, Havana Grey , whose top progeny include listed winner Lady Hollywood , as well as group performers Maylandsea  and Havana Angel .
• Lot 8 stakes-performing mare Barbados Blue in foal to Golden Horn . Barbados Blue is a half sister to stakes winner More Buck's and is out Buck's Blue, herself a half sister to multiple group 1 winner, Big Buck's and listed winner Buck's Bank.
• Lot 4 Perfect Sensation is carrying her first foal by group 3-winning Scat Daddy stallion Sergei Prokofiev . She is out of listed-winning, group 3-placed mare Needles And Pins , and is a half sister to group 3 winner, Alsindi .

There are 18 Horses In Training cataloged with prospects from both flat and National Hunt disciplines represented. 

The sale has attracted support from the likes of The National Stud, Highclere Stud, and Baroda Stud and features mares in foal to exciting young sire Land Force , yearlings by Postponed , and a foal by classic- producing sire Camelot .
