Time Passage wins Aug. 19 at Gulfstream Park, becoming the first winner for her sire Tunwoo

Baoma Corp.'s freshman sire Tunwoo   sired his first winner when his daughter Time Passage  scored a 2 3/4-length victory in her second career start Aug. 19 at Gulfstream Park.

Bred in Florida by Baoma, Time Passage is out of the Kantharos   stakes winner Savingtime, making her a half sister to multiple stakes winner and FTBOA 2021 champion 2-year-old filly Outfoxed  (Valiant Minister  ). Karl and Cathi Glassman bought Time Passage as a yearling for $85,000 during the Ocala Breeders' Sales October Yearling Sale from consignor Stuart Morris. The filly is in training with Eddie Plesa Jr.

Time Passage made her debut June 9 at Gulfstream and a wide trip cost her an unplaced finish. She returned to Gulfstream more confident and a tighter trip going 5 1/2 furlongs near the rail helped her finish strong in 1:05.13.

Tunwoo is a 7-year-old son of Medaglia d'Oro   out of the A.P. Indy winner Sea Gift. The half brother to grade 1-placed, grade 3 winner Chitu   and full brother to grade 3 winner Beautiful Gift  brought a final bid of $775,000 at the 2016 The Saratoga Sale, Fasig-Tipton's select yearling sale in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. He was bought back and later acquired by Baoma's Susan and Charles Chu.

He had three bullet works at Santa Anita Park with trainer Bob Baffert prior to his debut, in which he finished third. Injury then derailed his racing career.
