Good Forever wins the Circle City Stakes at Horseshoe Indianapolis

Charles Fipke's homebred freshman sire Forever d'Oro   sired his first black-type winner Sept. 7 when his gelded son Good Forever  won the Circle City Stakes at Horseshoe Indianapolis.

Robin and Dale Berryhill bred Good Forever in Indiana in the name of their Hidden Springs Farm, where Forever d'Oro entered stud in 2019. The stallion now stands at Breakway Farm. The newly minted stakes winner is out of the El Prado daughter Grandiosa, who has produced six winners from as many to race.

The juvenile has two Broodmares of the Year in his pedigree through the second generation. Forever d'Oro is out of Fipke's 2017 Broodmare of the Year Lemons Forever , the dam of grade 1 full sisters Unbridled Forever  and Forever Unbridled ; and, Grandiosa is out of Primal Force, the 2000 Broodmare of the Year and dam of grade 1 winners and sires Awesome Again and Macho Uno.

Raced by Southwest Racing Stables and trained by Genaro Garcia, Good Forever's first stakes win was also his first win. He was previously runner-up in his two prior starts in five-furlong maiden special weights at Horseshoe Indianapolis. He won the six-furlong Circle City by 2 3/4 lengths over a field of 11 challengers.

Forever d'Oro is a stakes-placed winner, who broke his maiden in his third start at 3 and went on to finish third in the Curlin Stakes at Saratoga Race Course. He stood this year for $2,000.
