Glennwood Farm came to the Keeneland September Yearling Sale on a mission to hit it out of the park.

Mission accomplished.

After selling a half brother to Justify   (Hip 60) for $1.2 million, the filly they consigned as Hip 117 by leading sire Into Mischief   out of Wildwood Rose checked all the boxes for Whisper Hill Farm's Mandy Pope who bought her for $1.15 Million.

"She's a lovely filly, well put together," Pope said about Hip 117. "We like Galileo mares, and her sister is training well, so hopefully, we'll be following the pedigree and building it up for them."

The unraced Galileo mare comes from the impressive family of Wildwood Flower, producer of Materiality , victor in the Besilu Stables Florida Derby (G1) of 2015, and My Miss Sophia, runner-up in the Longines Kentucky Oaks (G1) and winner of the Gazelle Stakes (G2) of 2014.

Pope added: "We really liked her; she was our top pick of the fillies today."

Consignor John Gunther and Eurowest Bloodstock Services bred the March-born filly in Kentucky.

"She's a huge, strong filly; she had a huge walk," commented Gunther. "She comes from such a good family. There were a lot of people on her, a lot of vet work. People just loved this filly.

The mare's 2-year-old daughter by Speightstown  , Bo Derek, was snapped up last year for $900,000 by the racing partnership Maverick/Siena.

"It's a great sale; I think everybody is upbeat, seems happy; it's a good sale," Pope commented.

Whisper Hill struck earlier in the day for Hip 70, the Audible   filly out of Taboo consigned by Bluegrass Thoroughbred Services, agent for Merribelle Stable. The Kentucky-bred went for $300,000.
