For the second time Sept. 14, the partnership of SF Racing, Starlight Racing, and Madaket Stables spend $1.05 million for a colt from Pope McLean's Crestwood Farm consignment at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale. At around 3:40 p.m. ET Tuesday, the partners acquired a Quality Road   colt (Hip 574) for the same price paid for a son of Gun Runner   (Hip 383) shortly after the sale began at 11 a.m. ET.

Bred in Kentucky by Rowland Hancock, Hip 574 is out of the Broken Vow mare Celibataire , the dam of Saratoga Race Course stakes winner Stillwater Cove  and a full sister to grade 2 winner Interactif .
