Flightline Maintains Top Mark in BC Classic Rankings

Hronis Racing LLC, Siena Farm LLC, Summer Wind Equine LLC, West Point Thoroughbreds, and Woodford Racing LLC's undefeated Flightline was voted a unanimous No. 1 for the second consecutive week in the latest Longines Breeders' Cup Classic Rankings, a weekly rating of the top 10 horses in contention for the $6 million Longines Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) at Keeneland Race Course on Nov. 5. 

Flightline, winner of the Hill 'N' Dale Metropolitan Handicap (G1) and the TVG Pacific Classic (G1), earned 29 first-place votes in Week 13 of the poll, consisting of leading Thoroughbred racing media, horseplayers, and members of the Breeders' Cup racing directors/secretaries panel. 

The top 10 rankings remained unchanged from last week. Following Flightline (290 votes) is CHC Inc. and WinStar Farms LLC's Life Is Good , who is in second place with 244 votes. The 4-year-old Life Is Good, winner of the Whitney Stakes (G1), is expected to start next in the Oct. 1 Woodward Stakes (G1) at Aqueduct. Winchell Thoroughbreds' 3-year-old Epicenter , who captured the Runhappy Travers Stakes (G1) for trainer Steve Asmussen, is in third place with 228 votes. Olympiad , owned by Grandview Equine, Cheyenne Stable LLC, and LNJ Foxwoods, stays in fourth place with 187 votes. Trained by Bill Mott, Olympiad has won five of six races this year, including Saratoga's Jockey Club Gold Cup (G1).

Commonwealth Thoroughbreds, LLC, WinStar Farm LLC, and Zedan Racing Stables, Inc.'s Country Grammer , winner of the Dubai World Cup (G1), is in fifth place with 155 votes. Hot Rod Charlie , owned by Boat Racing, LLC, Gainesway Stable, Roadrunner Racing, and William Strauss, is in sixth place with 107 votes. Trained by Doug O'Neill, Hot Rod Charlie finished second in the Dubai World Cup and was third in the Whitney.

Gold Square LLC's 3-year-old Cyberknife  is in seventh place with 86 votes. Trained by Brad Cox, Cyberknife finished second in the Travers Stakes. Wertheimer and Frere's 5-year-old Happy Saver , runner-up in the Whitney, is in eighth with 77 votes. CHC Inc. and WinStar Farm LLC's 4-year-old Americanrevolution , second to Olympiad in The Jockey Club Gold Cup, is in ninth place with 46 votes. Zedan Racing Stable, Inc.'s 3-year-old Taiba , who won the Santa Anita Derby (G1), is in 10th place with 36 votes.

Both Taiba and Cyberknife are entered in this Saturday's Pennsylvania Derby (G1) at Parx Racing.
