Key contenders for the Nov. 4-5 Breeders' Cup races turned in workouts across the U.S. Oct. 8.

Flightline , the early favorite for the Longines Breeders' Cup Classic (G1), worked six furlongs in 1:12 2/5 at Santa Anita Park, and at Keeneland, host track this year for the Breeders' Cup, several Breeders' Cup hopefuls from the barn of trainer Chad Brown posted breezes at the Lexington oval.

Among those horses was three-time grade 1 winner Jack Christopher , who breezed four furlongs on the main track in :48 2/5. The 3-year-old colt is preparing for a start in either the six-furlong Qatar Racing Breeders' Cup Sprint (G1) or Big Ass Fans Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile (G1).

Search Results , aimed at the Longines Breeders' Cup Distaff (G1), and Goodnight Olive , pointed to the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint (G1), also breezed half-miles, timed in :48 and :49 2/5, respectively.

In California, trainer John Sadler told Santa Anita publicity that Flightline was "right on point" after the Tapit   colt breezed under assistant trainer Juan Leyva.

"This was perfect, it was a good work, nothing serious," Sadler said. "The next two (at Santa Anita) we'll get a little more serious but he was impressive today ... He's right on schedule."

Following his upcoming works at Santa Anita, Flightline is scheduled to travel to Kentucky and record his final breeze at Keeneland leading up to the Breeders' Cup.
