My Billeeboy breaks his maiden at Gulfstream Park

Florida freshman sire Long On Value   sired his first winner when his son My Billeeboy  won a 5 1/2 furlong maiden special weight at Gulfstream Park Oct. 8 by 1 3/4 lengths over a field of nine challengers.

Lavender Hill Stud bred the colt in Florida out of the One Cool Cat winner Cane Cat , who has produced four winners from four to race. Cane Cat is out of unraced Rahy mare Seven Wonders, who is half sister to grade 1-placed winner Boatman. The immediate family also produced group 1 winners Al Bahathri and Sea Defence. Cane Cat produced a filly by First Dude   this year and was bred back to Uncle Chuck.

My Billeeboy is raced by Joan Egan and trained by Teresa Pompay. He won in his fourth career start, having placed in his three previous efforts, also all at Gulfstream. The final time of his winning performance was 1:04.24.

Long On Value is an 11-year-old son of Value Plus  and a grade 1 winner. He raced from 2 to 7 and compiled a 9-5-5 record from 32 starts and earned $1,136,253. He won or placed in eight graded stakes with top performances in the Highlander Stakes (G1T) at Woodbine and the Twilight Derby (G2T) at Santa Anita Park.

He stood this year at Pleasant Acres Stallions in Florida for $2,500.
