O'Sullivan Farms' freshman sire Aldrin   sired his first winner when his gelded son Aldrinaline  won his second career start by two lengths Oct. 12 at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races.

O'Sullivan Farms co-bred Aldrinaline in West Virginia with Sterbenz Racing and the partners race the gelding as well with trainer Javier Contreras. Aldrinaline was tracking in the back of the pack in the recent 6 1/2-furlong maiden special weight but showed a sharp closing kick in mid-stretch to win in a final time of 1:22.89.

The gelding became the ninth winner produced by the winning Deputy Minister mare Introducing , who has also produced stakes-placed winner New Line  (First Defence ) and Interject  (Empire Maker ). Introducing is the granddam of stakes winner Balnikhov , who was runner-up in the American Turf Stakes Presented by BMW (G2T). Aldrinaline is the mare's last foal.

Aldrin is a son of the late Malibu Moon  who sold for $1 million to Gainesway, Mt. Brilliant Stables, and Robert LaPenta during the 2014 Keeneland April 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale. Niall Brennan Stables consigned the horse. Bred in Kentucky by Irish-based Barouche Stud, he would manage one win out of 14 starts and never get tested in stakes company. As a sire, he's been represented by four starters from 28 foals of racing age.

Aldrin stands at O'Sullivan Farms for $2,000.
