Fort Erie Race Track cancels racing for Oct. 18
Fort Erie Race Track announced that racing for Oct. 18 is canceled due to poor weather and track conditions. Today was the scheduled final day of racing for the 2022 season.
For the safety of the riders and horses, the 10th race on the Oct. 17 card was canceled due to deteriorating track conditions from heavy rain and hail. Persistent rain throughout the night of Oct. 17 and into Oct. 18 left unsafe racing conditions.
Pending regulatory approvals, Fort Erie Race Track is working to reschedule the canceled races for Oct. 24 or 25, and will make an announcement when a date is confirmed.
