Grade 1-placed, grade 2 winner Concert Tour has settled in to start his stallion career at Jeju-do Farm in South Korea, according to agent Jun Park, who helped broker the deal.
The 4-year-old son of Street Sense raced as a homebred for Gary and Mary West. He won at first asking Jan. 15, 2021, at Santa Anita Park and next strung together consecutive wins in the San Vicente Stakes (G2) and Rebel Stakes (G2). He started as the favorite in the Arkansas Derby (G1) where, after pressing the pace, got a head in front in deep stretch but was passed and ultimately finished third. He retired with a 3-1-1 record from eight starts and earnings of $881,303.
The Korea Thoroughbred Breeders Association bought Concert Tour in August and he arrived in Korea Sept. 14, according to Park.
Concert Tour is out of the winning Tapit mare Purse Strings, who is out of My Red Porsche, a half a sister to graded-placed stakes winner My White Corvette . Champion 2-year-old filly and multiple grade 1 winner Stardom Bound is out of My White Corvette.
Darley Stallions' Street Sense became the first horse to win both the Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1) and the Kentucky Derby (G1). He has sired 89 stakes winners so far, including grade 1 winners and young stallions McKinzie and Maxfield .
