The undefeated Sir Lancelot leads a field of seven entered in the Oct. 29 Bowman Mill Stakes, a six furlong event for 2-year-olds over the main track at Keeneland.
Trained by Michael Stidham for owner/breeders Susan and John Moore, the gelded son of Goldencents started his career with a whopping 7 3/4-length win in a Sept. 9 maiden special weight at Delaware Park.
Last out, the gelding put in a nearly identical performance in the Oct. 4 Fitz Dixon, Jr. Memorial Juvenile Stakes at Presque Isle Downs where he ran away to a seven-length score ahead of Dawgmentality and Camino de Santiago .
The Moores bred the gelding in Kentucky out of their Polish Numbers mare Madame X Ski who they campaigned to a win in the 2002 Caesar's Wish Stakes at Pimlico Race Course. The mare has eight winners from 11 foals to race. Sir Lancelot is her last reported foal.
Jose Ortiz, who rode the gelding to victory in the Memorial, will be on board for the Bowman Mill.
Also entered is Quick Hammer who comes off of a win at Belmont At The Big A in a Sept. 16 maiden special weight race for trainer Brad Cox, and Aug. 13 Saratoga Special Stakes (G2) third, Super Chow .
Completing the field is Raise Cain , Jeremy's Jet , Hurricane J , and Bourbon Bash .
