First-crop sire Prospect Park was represented by his first black-type stakes winner Oct. 29 when Quickly Park It captured the Pike Place Dancer Stakes at Golden Gate Fields.
Bred and raced by Harris Farms, Quickly Park It won for the second time in three career starts after breaking her maiden at Del Mar against Cal-breds going one mile on the turf Aug. 28. Trained by Sean McCarthy, the dark bay filly was last of the seven-horse field down the backstretch under jockey William Antongeorgi III. Picking off horses around the final turn, she surged by her rivals at the top of the stretch, drawing away for a six-length victory.
Quickly Park It went the mile on a firm turf course in 1:39.42 and increased her earnings to $95,520.
She is the second foal out of the Lucky J.H. mare Quick Luck, who is a half sister to grade 3 winner Quick Enough.
Prospect Park is a son of Tapit and out of the multiple stakes-producing mare Quiet Romance (Bertrando), the dam of grade 1 winner Silent Sighs and grade 2 winner Proposed. On the racetrack, Prospect Park bankrolled $539,770 in a career that was highlighted by a win in the 2015 La Jolla Handicap (G3T).
He stood the 2021 breeding season for a fee of $2,500 at Harris Farms in California but was moved to Saudi Arabia for the 2022 breeding season.
