Finding daylight midway around the turn under Irad Ortiz, Jr., Forte swept into the lane with long, effortless strides and surged past Cave Rock for a 1 1/2-length victory in the Nov. 4 $2 million FanDuel Breeders' Cup Juvenile Presented by Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (G1) at Keeneland.
Heavy favorite Cave Rock, who pressed splits of :22.90, :47.01, and 1:11.77, secured the runner-up spot over fellow Bob Baffert stablemate National Treasure .
Ridden by Irad Ortiz, Jr., Forte returned $12.04 for a $2 win ticket. Trained by Todd Pletcher, the 2-year-old son of Violence stopped the clock in a time of 1:43.06 for the 1 1/16-miles on a fast main track.
Running for the silks of Repole Stables and St. Elias Stable, Forte entered the Juvenile off a game score in the Claiborne Breeders' Futurity (G1) over the Lexington oval.
