The eyes of the Thoroughbred world will shift Nov. 6 to The November Sale, Fasig-Tipton's marquee breeding stock sale, to be held at the sales company's Newtown Paddocks on the heels of the Breeders' Cup World Championships at Keeneland.
There are 320 horses—weanlings, in-foal broodmares, and racing/broodmare prospect—cataloged to Sunday's single session, which begins at 1:00 p.m. ET.
"We truly could not be any more excited about our November sale for 2022," said Boyd Browning Jr., Fasig-Tipton's president and CEO. "It's packed with quality horses. We've got some of the finest quality fillies and mares coming off the racetrack. There are young mares in foal and proven producers at the highest level. It's the best group of foals that we've ever had."
The first half of the catalog features 188 weanlings by up-and-coming sires and established commercial sires, out of winning graded mares that have produced graded runners.
"It's a great catalog; it truly is. It's got international appeal, and the reaction and reception we've gotten thus far has been extremely positive," said Browning. "I think people are excited about it. People were excited about the events surrounding the Breeders' Cup. We've got bunches and bunches of Breeders' Cup connections in the sale. It's kind of like Christmas comes Nov. 6 for us."
This year nine fillies and mares will make the short trip from Keeneland to Fasig-Tipton, after running their respective races over the weekend in the Breeders' Cup. Blue Stripe , who finished second by a nose in the Longines Breeders' Cup Distaff (G1), sells as Hip 316 with Taylor Made Sales Agency.
"I think for many of the top buyers, particularly for our marketplace, they are focused on buying those horses," Browning commented. "There are a lot of folks whose focus is on looking at horses and evaluating weanlings, fillies, and mares and doing their homework."

Last year, 149 of the 194 horses through the ring sold for gross receipts of $103,699,000, shattering records across the board. An average price of $695,966 and a median of $300,000 were recorded. Forty-five horses failed to meet their reserve, representing an RNA rate of 23%.
The highest-priced offering, selling for $5.2 million to Whisper Hill Farm's Mandy Pope and Three Chimneys Farm, was for Magical World in foal to leading sire Into Mischief . Closely following behind after realizing $5 million was the race filly Shedaresthedevil , selling to Whisper Hill Farm, Flurry Racing, and Qatar Racing.
Shedaresthedevil will return to the ring this year with Hunter Valley Farm; she is consigned as Hip 233. The multiple grade 1 winner by Daredevil added a win in the Fleur de Lis Stakes (G2), a runner-up finish in the La Troienne Stakes Presented by Signify Health (G1), and placed third in the Azeri Stakes (G2) and Clement L. Hirsch Stakes (G1) this year. The 5-year-old is an earner of $2,777,458 in 21 starts with a record of 10-3-6.
Japan's Katsumi Yoshida made six purchases last year for a total of $12,725,000 to be the sale's leading buyer, followed by Masahiro Miki, who spent $6 million on two head.
Hill' n' Dale Sales Agency, who sold the sale-topping Magical World, finished the single session as leading consignor with a gross of $14,975,000 after selling eight of the nine horses on offer.
As of Nov. 5, Fasig-Tipton reported that 64 horses had been withdrawn from the sale.
