A strapping bay filly by Uncle Mo   became the first seven-figure horse Nov. 6 at The November Sale, Fasig-Tipton's marquee breeding stock sale, when Gabriel Duignan with Paramount Bloodstock went to $1.35 million to take her home.

Eaton Sales consigned the filly (Hip 128) that is the first foal out of multiple grade 1 winner Bellafina , a daughter of Quality Road   who won the 2019 Santa Anita Oaks (G1) and 2018 Del Mar Debutante Stakes (G1) on her way to earning more than $1.6 million. The filly was bred in Kentucky by Orpendale/Chelston/Wynatt and Kaleem Shah.

Duignan said the filly had been purchased for a partnership and might be re-offered next year as a yearling.

"She's beautiful and by Uncle Mo, who is one of the greatest, and out of a hell of a mare," he said about the reasons the filly was so attractive. "She is very pretty, one of the nicest on the grounds."

Duignan added that the strong demand seen during the yearling sales is continuing into the weanling market.

"It has been strong all year, especially for quality," he said, noting that he anticipated Hip 128 would bring at least $1 million. "You always pay for the good ones."

Hip 128 was the only weanling to sell among three by Uncle Mo offered. Two colts brought final bids of $270,000 (Hip 18) and $170,000 (Hip 80) while failing to meet their reserves.
