Following a review, the American Graded Stakes Committee has decided to reinstate the grade III status of the W. L. McKnight Stakes, contested at Calder Casino & Race Course Dec. 28.
The 1 1/2-mile race, which was taken off the turf and contested on the main track, had been automatically downgraded to listed status. There were four horses scratched from the race.
The winner of the race, Twilight Eclipse, is to be credited with a grade III win, the AGSC announced. Dannhauser and Flatter This, who finished second and third, respectively, are to be credited with grade III placings.
