A weanling half sister to champion and sire Honor Code   sold for $1.5 million Nov. 7 at the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale in Lexington.

M. V. Magnier landed the daughter of Medaglia d'Oro  , consigned by Hill 'n' Dale at Xalapa as Hip 161. The filly was the highest-priced weanling about four hours into Monday's opening session.

Bred in Kentucky by Dell Ridge Farm and Hill 'n' Dale Equine Holdings, the bay or brown filly is out of stakes winner Serena's Cat, by Storm Cat. Serena's Cat is the dam of Metropolitan Handicap (G1) and Whitney Stakes (G1) winner Honor Code (by A.P. Indy), grade 2 winner and sire Noble Tune  (by Unbridled's Song), and stakes winner Declarationofpeace  (by War Front  ).

"She's a fantastic filly and all the credit to John Sikura and the breeders; they're fantastic breeders," Magnier said before noting some of the top horses in her family. "She's exceptionally bred."
