During the fourth session in 2021, Keeneland reported 262 of the 330 horses through the ring changed hands for gross receipts of $20,447,500. An average price of $78,044 and a median of $62,000 were recorded. Sixty-eight individuals failed to meet their reserve, representing an RNA rate of 20.6%.

At this point in 2021, 873 of the 1,082 horses through the ring had sold for gross figures of $149,942,500 at an average price of $171,755 and a median of $115,000. Two hundred-nine horses failed to sell, representing an RNA rate of 19.3%.
The Twirling Candy weanling colt, consigned as Hip 1270 by Nursery Place, took top honors Thursday, selling for $380,000 to Bay Shore Stable. The colt out of grade 2-placed Ours to Run was bred in Kentucky by Mary K. Grum.
"Overall, it's been a good sale," Tommy Eastham of Legacy Bloodstock commented. "It's been unique in the barns; our show volume hasn't been great on weanlings. The mares have had a little show volume, but the weanlings have been down about 30%. Everybody here is serious about the game and a professional in the industry, everybody that has been coming by the barn is participating and buying, and we aren't having any tire kickers."

Perennial leading consignor, Taylor Made Sales Agency, sold 23 horses from their banner Nov. 10 for a gross of $2,613,000, to be the day's leading consignor.
Taylor Made consigned the day's second and third highest-priced weanling offerings. Hip 1370, a Speightstown colt out of Tempers Rising , a grade 2-placed mare by Bayern , sold to Sycamore Hall Farm for $360,000. A Volatile colt out of Light of the Nile, from the family of Pioneerof the Nile , sold as Hip 1223, which realized $325,000 from XXY Stud.
"If you have a young mare that has a chance to produce a nice horse, buyers are going to give something for it, but they don't want the exposed horses," Claiborne Farm's Walker Hancock said. "I believe it's starting to swing toward a buyer's market at this point in the sale. The first couple of days were definitely a seller's market."
