Regal Glory , who last ran 10th in the FanDuel Breeders' Cup Mile Presented by PDJF (G1T), will likely make one final start before turning her attention to motherhood.

According to her trainer Chad Brown, the 6-year-old daughter of Animal Kingdom  is expected to run in the Dec. 4 Matriarch Stakes (G1T) at Del Mar. She won that race last year by 2 1/2 lengths over Zofelle

"Certainly up there in the top group of turf mares I've trained," Brown said of what he believes to be his trainee's legacy on the track. "Certainly consistency, her durability through the years. I'm also so proud of how she's developed year to year and reach top form at age 6, which is hard to do for a race mare. So just overall, a really rare horse for a trainer to find in their barn."

After making her first 11 starts (6-3-0) for breeder Paul Pompa, Regal Glory was sold at the 2021 Keeneland January Horses of All Ages Sale as part of the dispersal of Pompa's horses following his death. Regal Glory sold for $925,000 out of the Lane's End consignment to Peter Brant's White Birch Farm.

Regal Glory is 12-6-0 in 22 starts for her career with $2,379,134 in earnings. She is 3-2-0 in six starts this year with $1,134,250 in earnings.

As for how she'll pass on her talent to future offspring, Brown sees potential.

"Based on her talent, you'd think she'd have a better than average chance to throw horses with a lot of ability like herself," he said.
