Catalog Released for Upcoming OBS Winter Mixed Sale

The catalog for the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's 2023 Winter Mixed Sale is now available via the OBS website at obssales.com. The two-day sale is set for Tuesday and Wednesday, January 24 and 25. Supplemental entries are being accepted until Jan. 12. For Supplements go here.

The sale begins on Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 12:00 noon with Hips 1-132 cataloged in the Consignor Preferred Session. The Horses of Racing Age Session, cataloged as Hips 201-305, begins immediately following the conclusion of the Preferred Session. The Open Session, with Hips 401-638 cataloged, is set for Wednesday, Jan. 25 and will also begin at 12:00 noon.

The Under Tack Show for the Horses of Racing Age Section is set for Monday, January 23 at 9:00 a.m. The Under Tack Show and Sale will be streamed live via the OBS website as well as the BloodHorse website.

There are 262 yearlings cataloged by a diverse group of proven and promising sires. First crop sires with yearlings include Complexity  , Gift Box  , Global Campaign  , Gunnevera  , Improbable  , Instagrand  , Instilled Regard  , McKinzie  , Shancelot  , Spun to Run  , Thousand Words  , and Vekoma  .

The sale also features mares in foal to an outstanding roster of up-and-coming sires including Awesome Slew  , Bolt d'Oro, Connect  , Dialed In  , Girvin, Gunnevera, Improbable, Independence Hall  , Midshipman, Mitole, Tacitus  , Uncle Chuck  , Vekoma, and Violence.

OBS will again offer online bidding during the Winter Mixed Sale. Buyers will be able to go to the OBS website and register to gain bidding approval, then access the OBS Bidding Screen with their credentials.
