Grade 1 winner No Parole 's first foal, a colt, was born Jan. 9 in Louisiana, it was announced Jan. 10.

Bred by Coteau Grove Farms, the foal is out of the Street Sense   mare Naive Enough. He is a half brother to the promising stakes-placed 3-year-old Tumbarumba , a son of Oscar Performance   who ran second in the Dec. 10 Louisiana Champions Day Juvenile Stakes at Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots

"We are so excited, obviously, as the breeders of No Parole himself, to also be the breeders of his first foal. He is a beautiful foal and full of energy this morning," said Coteau Grove managing partner Hunter Myers.

No Parole, a son of Violence  , is the first grade 1 winner bred by Coteau Grove.

Coteau Grove bloodstock advisor Andrew Cary said: "We have supported No Parole with some very nice mares and will continue to do so this year and beyond.

"No Parole had truly elite speed, and his sire, Violence, continues to produce top-level horses every year, like grade 1 winners Volatile and Forte,  among many others. He's the only son of Violence standing in Louisiana."

"This is a strong-bodied colt and a great advertisement for his sire. We have several more No Parole babies coming this year and are really looking forward to them. He's off to a great start," said assistant farm manager Jacob Cyprian.

Out of the Bluegrass Cat mare Plus One, No Parole was bred in Louisiana and sold to Maggi Moss for $75,000 from Select Sales' consignment to the 2018 Keeneland September Yearling Sale. Greg Tramontin purchased an interest in the horse early on in his racing career.

Trained by Tom Amoss, No Parole made his debut at 2 in blazing fashion, winning by 14 1/4 lengths. He won his first three starts by a combined 34 lengths, including the Louisiana Bred Premier Night Prince Stakes at a mile. His finest hour came in the 2020 Woody Stephens Stakes (G1) at Belmont Park, which he won in wire-to-wire fashion by 3 3/4 lengths in 1:21.41 for the seven furlongs, defeating eventual grade 1 winners Echo Town   and Mischevious Alex .
