Visitant wins the 2021 Kentucky Cup Classic Stakes at Turfway Park

Multiple graded-placed stakes winner Visitant, a 7-year-old son of Ghostzapper  , has been retired from racing and will enter stud at California's Arroyo Vista Farm in northeast San Diego County. He will stand for an introductory fee of $2,500 with a live foal stands and nurses guarantee.

Visitant is a homebred for Henry Williamson, who breeds and races under the name Williamson Racing. The young stallion is out of the stakes-placed Distorted Humor mare Peppermint Lounge, who was raced by the late Warren Williamson.

"Visitant is our number one earning homebred male horse of all time and leads all runners in number of wins," said Williamson. "He has been so versatile, winning stakes races from six furlongs to 1 1/8 miles with success on dirt and synthetic track. He earned multiple triple-digit Beyer figures on both surfaces."

Trained mostly by William Morey, Visitant won his debut at 3 by four lengths at Golden Gate Fields. He was stakes-placed in his third start, when he was second in the California Derby. He immediately followed that performance with a win in the Alcatraz Stakes. Visitant went on to capture four more black-type stakes at Turfway Park. He also was second in the 2021 Alysheba Stakes (G2) at Churchill Downs. Visitant was retired with an 11-3-2 record from 20 starts and earned $676,927.

Visitant hails from the immediate family of grade 1 winner Metamorphose and European champion Dream Well.
