The official call for offers and expressions of interest campaign dates for the iconic Adena Springs farm in Paris, Ky., will commence March 28.
Icon Global will market the farm throughout the significant international spring event dates for Thoroughbred racing and equestrianism. Those events include race meets at Oaklawn Park, Gulfstream Park, Keeneland, Santa Anita Park, and Aqueduct Racetrack; the Kentucky Derby (G1); various horse sales; and other equestrian events, such as the Land Rover Three-Day Event at the Kentucky Horse Park.
The campaign will conclude nine days after the 149th running of the Kentucky Derby, May 6, with final bids due on or before May 15. The final sale process and campaign details will be further announced March 28 via subsequent release and available at http://www.icon.global.
The sealed bidding and offer process guidelines to be released include a buyer's ability to submit expressions of interest via stalking horse bids, sealed bids, or conventional private contract formats within the terms of interest received on or before the closing deadline. The seller will reserve the right to negotiate and accept early offers at any time before the campaign closes May 15.
Buyers can choose a single sale opportunity or any combination of one or more subdivision parcels with various barns, pastures, amenities, and improvements.
The property is valued at over $50 million and was publicly announced with a $55 million price tag in June 2022.
"Replacement cost today to replicate this farm, and its amenities, in my opinion, would far exceed $100 million," stated Icon Global's Bernard Uechtritz.
The magnificent property designed for horsemen by horsemen is situated on 2,300 acres 30 minutes outside of Lexington. It includes 20 barns with over 250 stalls, a 24-unit employee compound, multiple executive homes, 20 miles of blacktop-paved roads, and more than 80 miles of four-board and diamond mesh horse fencing. Adena Springs Farm is one of the world's largest and most modern horse farm operations, capable of handling up to 1,000 horses. It was built in 2007 to serve the legendary Adena Springs stallion breeding operation.
Feature video and short film trailers are available at www.icon.global.com and offer a glimpse into the internationally acclaimed property that was home to legendary and award-winning Adena Springs champions such as 2004 Horse of the Year Ghostzapper , 2013 Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) winner Mucho Macho Man , and Awesome Again, winner of the 1998 Breeders' Cup Classic, to name a few.
