With American Pharoah emerging victorious after the 140th Preakness Stakes, all eyes now turn towards the Belmont Stakes on June 6 at Belmont Park in Elmont, N.Y. The Belmont is the third and final leg of horse racing’s Triple Crown, and if American Pharoah is able to win this prestigious race, he will become only the twelfth horse in history to win the series (and the first since Affirmed in 1978).
In addition to potential history being made with American Pharoah’s run towards the Triple Crown, this year Belmont Park also showcases the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival, which is a three-day event featuring world-class horse racing as well as popular musical acts O.A.R. and the Goo Goo Dolls.
