Interstatedaydream wins the 2022 Indiana Oaks at Horseshoe Indianapolis

Despite one-two Azeri Stakes (G2) finishers Secret Oath  and Clairiere  running back in the Apple Blossom Handicap (G1) April 15 at Oaklawn Park, trainer Brad Cox had other plans for third-place Interstatedaydream , who skipped taking the trip around the Arkansas oval Saturday, to instead ship to Keeneland for a try at the $300,000 Doubledogdare Stakes (G3) April 21.

Contested at 1 1/16 miles on the main dirt track, the Doubledogdare saw a field of eight older fillies and mares entered.

Interstatedaydream was purchased by Staton Flurry's Flurry Racing Stables from Wavertree Stables' consignment to the 2021 Ocala Breeders' Spring Sale of 2-Year-Olds in Training, and that $175,000 investment did not take long to pay off. The daughter of Classic Empire   broke her maiden on her first trip out at Belmont Park that summer and capped her 2-year-old season as runner-up in the Adirondack Stakes (G2) at Saratoga Race Course.

In 2022, the filly finished third in the Ashland Stakes (G1) at Keeneland and captured the Black-Eyed Susan Stakes (G2) at Pimlico Race Course the following month. Other starts last year include a win in the Indiana Oaks (G3) and a second in the Cathryn Sophia Stakes at Parx Racing. A six-month hiatus from racing ended with the March 11 Azeri. An earner of more than $500,000, Interstatedaydream will look to add a fifth win to her record.

Todd Pletcher trainee Green Up  arrives in the Doubledogdare with an impressive record following a successful 3-year-old season—though she is looking to get back to form following a seven-month layoff.

She began her winning rampage at Gulfstream Park in March 2022, earning her maiden win and then returning to the Hallandale Beach, Fla., track for her next start. The Virginia-bred Upstart   filly successfully moved up to stakes company next in the Boiling Spring Stakes at Monmouth Park before defeating Interstatedaydream in the Cathryn Sophia. Green Up ended her season with a fourth in the Cotillion Stakes (G1) behind Society Morning Matcha , and Secret Oath .

Green Up #1 ridden by Irad Ortiz, Jr., wins the $150,000 Cathryn Sophia Stakes on August 23, 2022 at Parx Racing in Bensalem, PA. The three-year-old filly has now won four straight races for trainer Todd Pletcher and owner Team Valor International LLC. Campaigned by Team Valor International, the impressive filly has put $277,160 in the bank from four wins in six starts.

Other entrants include 2021 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) fourth-place finisher and 2022 Kentucky Oaks (G1) starter Hidden Connection  for trainer Bret Calhoun and the partnership of Hidden Brook Farm and Black Type Thoroughbreds. Stakes winners Moon Swag , Shotgun Hottie , and Frost Point  will look for their first win in graded company.

Completing the field is Traverse  and Music Street .
