Agency Selected to Market American Pharoah

New York City-based sports and entertainment marketing Leverage Agency has been selected as the exclusive marketing, sponsorship, and product licensing agency for Triple Crown contender American Pharoah.



According to a press release, Leverage will coordinate its efforts with Hiltzik Strategies, the Zayat family's communications team, on digital, social and communication branding strategies relating to sponsorship and licensing opportunities.



Winner of the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) and Xpressbet.com Preakness Stakes (gr. I), Zayat Stables' homebred colt will attempt to become the first horse to sweep the Triple Crown since Affirmed in 1978 when he contests the June 6 Belmont Stakes (gr. I).

In 2014, Leverage Agency managed the sponsorships for Triple Crown contender California Chrome, which included major deals with Skechers and Breathe Right.  As part of the sponsorship with Skechers, branding was seen on trainer and ownership team apparel as well as California Chrome's horse blanket, barn, and promotional events. Breathe Right also gained national attention as a partner with their high-profile nasal strip activation activities.
