Good Magic Filly Tops OBS Spring Under Tack Finale

Against a headwind, the final session of the Under Tack Show for the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's 2023 Spring Sale of 2-Year-Olds in Training concluded April 22.

Hip 1112, a daughter of Good Magic   consigned by Tom McCrocklin, agent, sped a quarter in :20 3/5 to post the session's fastest quarter-mile time. The chestnut filly is out of the Tiznow  mare Tiz Heavenly , a daughter of graded-winning OBS graduate Tasha's Miracle .

Five horses shared honors for the day's fastest eighth, stopping the timer in :9 4/5.

Hip 1109, consigned by Caliente Thoroughbreds, is a chestnut colt by Solomini   out of Flatter  mare Timberlea , a half sister to graded stakes winning OBS graduate Untrapped , from the family of graded stakes winner Tale of the Cat.

Hip 1124, a bay colt by Justify   consigned by Scanlon Training & Sales, agent, is a half brother to stakes-placed Corps of Discovery  out of graded stakes winner Tapit   mare Touching Beauty .

Hip 1128, consigned by Niall Brennan Stables, agent, is a bay filly by Demarchelier   out of the Arch  mare Treasured , a full sister to stakes winner Desert Phantom .

Hip 1187, a bay colt by Army Mule   consigned by Envision Equine, agent, is a half brother to stakes placed What in Blazes  out of Western Kitty , by Western Fame , from the family of grade 1 stakes winner and major sire Tiznow.

Hip 1219, a bay colt by Nyquist   consigned by Best A Luck Farm, agent, is out of Zetta Z , by Bernardini , from the family of grade 1 stakes winner Unbridled Elaine .

Hip 1119, a gray or roan colt by Liam's Map   consigned by Wavertree Stables, agent, is a half brother to grade 1 stakes winner Chi Town Lady  out of stakes-placed Toni's Hollyday , by Harlan's Holiday .

The Spring Sale begins April 25 and concludes April 28 with each session beginning at 10:30 a.m. ET. Hips 1-306 go on the block Tuesday, Hips 307-612 will be offered April 26, Hips 613-918 sell April 27, and Hips 919-1222 sell Friday. The sale will be live-streamed via the OBS website at obssales.com and BloodHorse.
