Due to extreme weather conditions, Laurel Park, Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races, and Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course canceled live racing for Jan. 22.
Charles Town will be dark Jan. 23 as well because of expected frigid temperatures.
The tracks remain open for full-card simulcasts.
"It is better to wait and clear the track after it stops snowing," Maryland Jockey Club director of racing Georganne Hale said in a release. "It is brutally cold out there, which could have been an issue with the jocks. It is not bearable out there today for horse or rider but we should be good to go tomorrow when the temperatures rise a bit."
Live racing is scheduled to resume Jan. 23 at Laurel and Penn National.
