Materiality and Frosted, two candidates for the June 6 Belmont Stakes (gr. I) worked a half-mile May 29 at Belmont Park. The moves came later in the day following the early-morning efforts put in by Carpe Diem and Madefromlucky.

Materiality, the Besilu Stables Florida Derby (gr. I) winner, got the slightly better time, getting his four furlongs in :47.78, the fourth-fastest of 33 of the day. Materiality, Carpe Diem, and Madefromlucky are trained by Todd Pletcher.
Materiality was sixth behind American Pharoah in the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I).
The work was his third since the Derby over Belmont's main track. He went five furlongs in 1:00.04 May 22 and four furlongs in :49.03 May 16.
Godolphin Racing's Frosted, winner of the TwinSpires.com Wood Memorial Stakes (gr. I) and fourth in the Derby, worked a half-mile in :47.84. The move was the co-sixth-fastest of 33 on the day at the trip.
Frosted, a son of Tapit —Fast Cookie, by Deputy Minister, is trained by Kiaran McLaughlin. The May 29 work was the colt's third since the Derby. He went five furlongs in 1:01.45 May 22.
