Metropolitan Handicap (G1) winner Cody's Wish continues to lead the rankings, followed by True North Stakes (G2) winner Elite Power and Ogden Phipps Stakes (G1) heroine Clairiere , the top-rated female. These three horses are likely to be in action this summer at Saratoga Race Course.
Poll voting is conducted by national media, representing horses competing for Horse of the Year. The poll released July 4 was the 23rd week of the poll this year.
West Will Power's win in the Stephen Foster was his second in four starts this year for trainer Brad Cox. Forte , Pretty Mischievous , and Mage are the top-ranked 3-year-olds, in 12th through 14th place, respectively.
